At All About People we help build and nurture the conditions to develop in ways that are person and community-centred and connected to the people who you work with. We will help you to create long lasting and holistic change. Participatory methods are our central approach, joining up collective wisdom and challenging each other to get to the heart of the issue.
We can work with you on the big strategic changes right through to smaller service redesigns or developing new projects. We work from the principle that before setting out on a journey, it’s essential to understand where you’re starting from, and to work collectively to develop your vision for the future. This may be unclear in the beginning and continue to change throughout an iterative process.
At All About People we work with you to design an approach that best meets your needs rather than a menu or ‘off the shelf’ offer.
How can we help you
- Finding your North Star. Supporting you to identify, revisit or refresh your vision, mission, purpose, strategy or niche as an organisation, partnership or system.
- Community connections. Working with you to identify, connect and collaborate with the people and communities you serve, stakeholders, clients and / or partners, with a particular focus on excluded, stigmatised and less well heard and served groups of people.
- Breaking the mould. Creating environments for innovative ideas and ‘out of the box’ solutions to emerge and be shaped – inspiring, fostering and helping you to nurture bold thinking, finding new solutions for new problems, as well as new approaches to persistent issues.
- Service redesign. Providing structure and support for human-centred approaches to service, pathway, system or organisational redesign, including building on what’s working well and clarity about what needs to change, and how this can happen.
Whatever the challenge or proposition, we will first work with you to understand the big questions at its heart. Working collaboratively with you, we will design and host participatory events or meetings, one off or as part of a series, face-to-face or virtually, with a small group or with a big crowd. We might use circle practice, World Café, design lab, the Flow Game, Open Space Technology or other methodologies from our combined experience of participatory practice in facilitation, engagement, consultation, and community development. We can support direct engagement with communities and voluntary groups, helping to build understanding, connection and trust. We harvest – thoughtfully record and feedback – all our conversations, so the collective intelligence and learning continually grows.

Three examples of where we have put into practice the approaches we offer include:
- leading and coordinating the NHS response to homelessness and inclusion health for Covid-19. Find out more in this ‘Learning from Lockdown’ report from The Strategy Unit.
- developing the Accessible Information Standard. Hear more in this edition of Radio 4’s In Touch programme with Peter White.
- designing and supporting coproduction in secure mental health services.
We will work with you. Your commitment will be as important as our commitment. We invite you to trust us, and trust the process. More about how we work.
We are All About People.
